For PE, Polyethylene Low-Density plastic pipes injected PP barbed coupling is used.

Irrigation barbed connectors are available in diameters 14 to 20 mm and are specifically designed for attaching low density polyethylene pipes with a working pressure of up to 8 bar. The connectors are completely watertight, easy to use with hand insertion, frost resistant, and appropriate for use in bright sunshine.
