PVC full-bore sliding knife gate valves are ideal for low pressure and vacuum applications, providing quick shut-off of liquids. This sliding gate valve was originally designed to drain tanks and control shallow water bodies such as ponds. Unrestricted flow - with full port opening, a simple push/pull operation opens or closes the valve. Note that there are opening and closing pressure ratings for each valve size. An excellent alternative to ball valves in low pressure applications because they are full flow, fast opening, and generally cost much less, especially in larger sizes. Good for soft debris like waste, but hard debris will settle on the bottom of the seat/slot and prevent it from closing completely.
